Must be 1st grade or older (Beginner)
This beginner piano class is perfect for kids who are ready to dive into music for the first time. Through fun and hands-on lessons, students will build a solid foundation in both playing and understanding music. Each class is designed to strengthen coordination, confidence, and creativity at the piano.
Students will learn:
Proper hand position and finger technique
Basic chords and how to play them in patterns
Simple arpeggios and broken chords
Interval recognition (2nds, 3rds, 4ths, 5ths)
Entry-level sight-reading: identifying and playing notes on the staff
Playing by shape and ear
Beginning songwriting and improvisation
Students will come away with the ability to play both hands together, read beginner-level music, and enjoy making music with confidence.
