This one-of-a-kind reading class blends students of different ages and levels into one vibrant learning space—just like the old-school one-room schoolhouse. Younger readers grow in skill and confidence, while older students reinforce their own understanding by helping guide others. It’s reading with purpose, community, and heart.
In this class, students will:
Experience engaging group read-alouds designed to spark thought and conversation
Build fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension through hands-on reading activities
Practice reading aloud and listening actively in a supportive environment
Work in structured peer pairs, where older students help lead younger ones
Grow in confidence, patience, and leadership by teaching what they’ve learned
Discover the joy of reading and learning together—across age and grade levels
This class is ideal for families who value community-based learning, mentorship, and biblical principles of serving and growing together. Whether your child is just beginning to read or is ready to lead, they’ll find their place and purpose in Reading CoLab..
