"When I was growing up, I had one dream.
I wanted to play in a band.
The problem was... there wasn't really anyone to teach you how.
There were teachers who taught instruments. They taught you how to read music. They taught scales and technique.
But very few could teach you how to actually play in a band.
How to listen.
How to improvise.
How to play with other musicians.
How to worship.
How to step onto a stage with confidence.
The knowledge was valuable, but it often didn't connect to the dream.
For a lot of people, by the time they finally had enough knowledge to figure it out on their own... life had happened. The dream faded, and they never got there.
I was determined not to let that happen.
I went to South Plains College and studied Commercial Music because that desire burned so deeply inside me. I had to know how.
Years later, my husband and I started Frontline Company because we didn't want another generation of dreamers to have to wait... or worse, never discover what they were created to do.
We wanted to build the kind of school we wished we'd had.
A place where students don't just learn music... they learn how to make music with other people.
A place where they learn to lead worship.
A place where they discover the gifts God placed inside them.
I believe the desire to play music is different from almost anything else.
It's a deep, burning desire that God places in so many hearts.
And maybe that's because we were created to worship Him.
If that's the dream He's placed inside someone, I don't want them to spend years wondering how to get there.
I want to help them get there."
